We invite you to pray and consider if your place is with Ignite City. According to scriptures, there is one church, one body of Christ but within the body, there are many parts and you and I make up those parts of the body of Christ. God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
Rick and Cissy are the pastors of Ignite City Church. They both grew up in the Charlotte area and have been married for 29 years with two adult children, Hayley and Hannah. They have served the Charlotte community for over 30 years as well as serving in Guatemala for 12 years and in India for 5 years. They have always believed in and invested in being “the Church” wherever they go.
For the past years, they’ve both developed a fire for those to grow in their passion to serve Jesus. Holding bible studies in their home for over 20 years and having taught at Central Church of God for 13 years where they sat under the leadership of Loraine Livingston. They’ve also been in leadership roles under Steven Furtick of Elevation Church for 15 years.
In 2020, Pastor Rick felt the call to start Ignite City Church. He has a real heart and love to see people set free from sin and become all who God created them to be. Pastor Rick has had the privilege of preaching many times and has seen God move in incredible ways through the Holy Spirit. He continues to believe that God can move in mighty, miraculous ways and he believes He’ll do it through your life too.
This is how Ignite City Church was birthed. Rick and Cissy are stepping out in faith to plant a church that will impact the lives of others. They believe the church is not meant to be complicated. It’s why they have a simple approach that will make it easy for any person, whether new to church, seasoned in their walk, or just returning for the first time in a long time.
Rick and Cissy Parker have always understood that without a risk, it takes very little faith. The greater the risk, the greater the return. Let’s once again, ignite our city for the love of God.
The greatest act of love and generosity was God giving his son, Jesus, for us. Giving our time, talents, and money is simply our natural response to an understanding of the generosity of a good God.
